In1989shewasawardedtheGlobalPrizeforherachievementsasAjapanesedancerworkinginEurope.Firstgivenin1988,theGlobalPrizeisawardedannuallytotheJapaneseartist,performerorwriterconsideredtohavemadethebiggestimpactinEurope.In2001shewasawardedtheArtsEncouragementPrizeforArtistsoftheMinistryofEducation,ScienceSportsandCultureinJapan,andin2004wasappointedUNESCOArtistforPeace.

InSeptember2006MiyakoYoshidabecameaPrincipleGuestArtistwithTheRoyalBallet.
